Best Tires for Tesla Model 3 Long Range – All-Season Tires: Background
The stock all-season tires on most Long Ranges are the Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires.
It is true that the Primacy MXM4s were developed with Tesla in mind and offer low rolling resistance and are “electric vehicle tuned.” But, their performance is really quite subpar.
In fact, they were ranked just 29th out of 60 tires in Tire Rack’s survey of all “Grand Touring All-Season” tires on the market.
On top of that, they are expensive. Their current price is roughly 25-50% higher than all of the other (more capable) all-season tires on our list.
But, what about efficiency?
Tire Rack tested the Michelin Primacy MXM4s and found that their range averaged 305 miles on a full charge on 18 inch rims. Meanwhile, a “standard” non-EV optimized tire averaged about 271 miles, which is a 12% decrease.
